Synod, as defined historically, is a gathering of the leaders of a Diocese, both ordained and lay, who prayerfully consider in God’s presence the important matters that are before the Church. In a Synod, one may expect to be inspired, encouraged, taught and trained for more effective ministry through the Church.
The Synod of the Diocese of Western Anglicans consists of:
1) Clergy Gathering & Clergy Spouse Gathering, October 17-18
2) Clergy and Laity, October 18-19
3) Crozier Society Dinner
